Learning and Achieving Together

Welcome to Year 3

About Beethoven Class

We chose the name Beethoven Class after looking at some inspirational figures together as a class. After narrowing the numerous, impressive choices down we thought that Beethoven was the perfect choice for us! Beethoven struggled against numerous challenges in his life, from his lack of childhood being forced to play piano after he finished his schooling, to his later life and his loss of hearing. Through all this, Beethoven overcame and to this day is one of the most recognised classical maestros with music played in high demand all over the world.

This relates nicely to our ethos in the class where we aim to overcome, no matter what we are faced with tying into our school values of self-belief and excellence amongst others.

This year in Beethoven Class, we shall aim to experience as much as we can despite the current climate, but we shall investigate a number of exciting topics in science, wander in wonder through Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory and travel through time together to see if we could survive in the Stone Age and much, much more!
